Anyone want further subtitles? I can almost definitely get Italian, Portuguese, french, German, Dutch and Afrikaans but as it'd just be a few of us working for free- def not all videos.

Hey all,

I've been in conversations with the people at Universal Subtitles to try to establish a channel for all the videos related to the occupation that are subtitled in Spanish so that they will be easier to share, publish, etc. but meanwhile I wanted to let you all know something I just learned from them. The subtitles that we make on their website can be downloaded and added to a video on youtube, although only the owner of the video can do this. The reason I bring it up is because this means that any important videos that OccupyTVNY (or any others in this group) makes and we subtitle can be offered with subtitles on the same page as well. This would make it much easier than having to visit another website, etc.

The way to do it is to go on the page for the video in www.universalsubtitles.org, click on the language tab on the list of available subtitles that's on the bottom left hand side and download the SRT files with subtitles using the pull down menu that's on top of the subtitles (this may sound confusing but it's actually really easy). Then you can go on youtube and upload that file to match the video.

I'm not sure who's managing the OccupyTVNY channel but if someone could give it a try, that would be great. If any issues come up, I can figure them out with the people from the website. Perhaps we can test it out with the moveyourmoney spot for Saturday?
