This looks blown out of proportion to me.
1 - You can't kick anybody out of the park, no one has any right to do that.
2 - I dont know the details of that specific tent as I dont involve myself in the politics of anything, but if that indeed is his tent and his tarp (as long as it doesnt have a media label on it) then he can ask anyone he wants to get out of his tent. (I dont know if it is labeled or if it is not labeled)
3 - The person filming was asked several times to get the light out of his face and leave them alone to conduct their business and it didn't turn violent until he was incredibly persistant. When the person trying to acquire his stuff was asked to wait as the situation was being explained. The person with the camera gets out of line WAY before the people talking (paul and ibu?) started to have an attitude. (If you want the truth, I would have knocked him out if he talked to me the way he was and I'm not scared to say that.)
4 - I agree that the man who speaks 7 languages attitude was unacceptable.
5 - You need to realize that while you are on the ground working in an open tent like that, so many people come in and out with over 30,000 dollars of equipment stolen, you have to take security seriously. (I have had over 3000 dollars in my equipment broken in the 39 days i've been working here.)
6 - There is no room for violence or violent statements which were made by both parties (As well as pushing by the man with the camera man.)
7 - Thorin (in this video) never claims to be the spokesperson for the livestream under the NYCGA, (even though from my knowledge he agreed to take part in the process) he just says that space is for livestream.
8 - If you spend time on the ground when you walk in to that tent, To the left in info - Further left is designated for occupywallstnyc livestream. Media is directly in front of the entrance with legal sharing space there. PRess is to the right of that.

Ananda, Thorin does not speak for the livestream team - he operates independantly of the GA and the principles of OWS.
He has been a huge problem for us and the entire media team. You absolutely should call a meeting about this - it may be a way to approach the process of getting him out of the park.
If Thorin is making physical threats to people, I think it is time to draw the line.
What does eveyone think? Does this warrant a new approach?

This is terrible. You have my support and love (from the West Coast). I would like to offer you a "Restorative Justice" session, however, it's been difficult for me to set up the group...maybe it will happen one day. In the meantime, some of the men in this movement should know that it still appears predominantly male-oriented. Women are still fighting for their rights, just like the poor and underprivileged.
