I have not yet had anything lost or broken, however, I think that this meeting should happen and I am all for creating a budget to replace them.

i sent out something to those affected or that at least had listed their equipment as stolen/lost on that particular budget...other than steven, no one responded.
PLs NOTE: teh GA has Not refused it, just the media group, has not supported the passing of such a budget yet and does think it will open a pandora's box for other claims from other WGs. Those of us who've had stuff stolen were encouraged to take this on, on our own but we can certainly bring it up at a Media mtg again...however, this whole thing was met with some resistance.

What are we to do about stolen or broken equipment? Since we said that it will not be taken from GA fund, what do we do? Im trying to figure out how to replace my broken items while still following the rules of the GA

I was at a table watching while its operator was away and a guy put his hand in a container full of donations and I stoped him. The owner thanked me profusely. I told security and apparently nothing was done, the guy continued making like he was in charge of clean up.

hey everybody -
saw that another person had their equipment stolen. again - bruce, alexander and i are willing to hold and be responsible for the safety of your cameras and laptops. we're off site which isn't the most convenient but neither is losing your gear. it doesn't solve the issue but its one solution.
if you want to take either of us up on the offer please email me.
