I believe what we have in Philly are genuine disagreements about tactics and strategy, not an anarchist infiltration problem. Yes, Cindy Milstein is around, as are other anarchists, but I think it is just as problematic to vilify and try to shut down the anarchists' voices. I have not seen any black bloc violence, and I honestly don't expect any, though in an eviction scenario, a few people might get carried away.

However, these are anarchists any small-d democrat should be able to get along with: they're actually working within the confines of our GA system, so they should be amenable to the creation of some new kind of "system" to govern our lives, as the GA system governs our movement. They at least open themselves up to questioning... and if we get them thinking more long-term, all the better.

Despite often intense differences, there is still more to unite us than divide us.

Lastly, I think last night's vote (which has hit the press, and is already being discussed at large today in Philly) proves just how important it is for us to expand the movement right now. We need more voices, and a broader range. If we are to be a lasting, mainstream movement (and I think we are still "mainstream", for the moment) we need to get past our internal squabbles and start working together to change the country and the world.

So we are in a really sticky situation down here.

City wanted to give and extend permit to other location, but it was voted down.  Check our page for the news.  We have an arachist here, Cindy Milstein, who is staunch supporter of black bloc, and she is trying to convert members of the anarchist to use black bloc tactics in OP.  NEED HELP ASAP
