In all this discussion about demands, clarity, direction, leadership -- it's the discussion itself that's generated excitement and interest. It continues to intrigue the public, they argue about it, it keeps itself alive. The mark of OWS is the mike check and human microphone, the expressions of its own process, itself expressing its democratic aspirations of empowerment -- it's the Abbie Hoffman or Bob Dylan as it were in a different time.
Where, I wonder, is the culture of OWS? Is it in the youtube videos? The arts -- music, theater, graphic arts even dress -- were so rich in the '60's.
