Hi All,

Thanks for all of these responses!

I'm planning to be by the Media Group meeting on Tues, but I expect I will not be able to join until about 6:45pm or 7 -- do the meetings generally run this long?  David and I had made tentative plans to meet up on Tues night.

Devin, what is the Weds meeting -- a wiki group meeting or am I mistaken about the schedule for the next Media Group meeting?

Andrew, will you also be at the meeting?  I think your suggestions are a bit different than the project I'm proposing which is just a sort of aggregated list of media.

I'm sure there are more questions/answers, but to keep this email chain short and sweet, I'll plan to be at the media meeting and will definitely ping again -- either on list or in person for people's aggregator wish lists and suggestions for other groups to ping before implementing anything.

We need to create a media one page that has creative commons, aw orking equipment/resources policy, how to announce filming of meetings/people, and how to best reserve rights of material to the people, and represent the people.

All videos need a call for action at the end, I suggest re-uploading all content on occupytvny with titles that include in the same amt of time, ows, the ga, - and a new domain name. There are plenty of occupy medianyc . Org or something out there hopefully. DMS - can you add the login/register window onto our page...if I'm not missing it...?

Any opposing this priority must acknowledge our duty to empower others first and foremost. Its the opposite of an airplane instructional to fasten ones own oxygen mask first.

We need outreach +media reps at each others meetings, and focus on cluster meetings. When everyone sees each wg as an extension of themselves we will be in a better place. There is no "institution" of wg's. They are open and the people demand NOW instructional videos on how we have succeeded as we have thus far. Spokes video, ga, dd, facilitation, each wg, when those instructionals EVERYONES's priority, the people will see themselves in this "movement".

So happy you reached out Becky.

I haven't seen anything like what you're describing but I think it'd be extremely useful to the movement if you lead such an effort.

We're organizing a wiki support team to help manage the wiki at  That could be a good place to start aggregating content.  Our next meeting will be on Wednesday.  Announcements will come through our list serve here.

I feel like 'Archive' would be a good group to reach out to about this project.

Hi all,

I have a very elementary question -- where can I/people find all of
the media that the OWS media group has created?

Are there specific sites or publications that media wg content is
published to?  Is there a list of articles/videos/sites anywhere?

If not, I'm willing to lead the charge to gather links and resources
in order to:
- first, make this aggregated list publicly available on,
perhaps in a doc or just in addition to the video posts on the blog
- second, make that collection known to people within and outside of
the wg

Thoughts?  Is this already somewhere?  If so, can I help whomever is
working on it to help amplify it so that people within the wg and
without know about it?

Is anyone on this list also involved in Info/Outreach/PR/Archives?  I
think all of those groups would have an interest in this too!
