Occupy Wall Street - Day of Action
Authorities are reporting that the Occupy Wall Street Movement has planned a “Day of Action” on Thursday, November 17 in Manhattan .  This is expected to include:
·         A 7 a.m. event in Liberty Square Park that will attempt to shutdown Wall Street
·         A 3 p.m. event that will gather at several subway hubs
·         A 5 p.m. event that will gather at Foley Square and will attempt to shut down bridges, streets and public transportation
The NYC Office of Emergency Management has indicated that the NYPD will be closely monitoring all activity and will ensure no impact to Wall Street and transportation operations.  Despite this activity, they do not see it as a major threat to business operations and are recommending business as usual.
We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as appropriate.  Employees are reminded to contact the Corporate Security Command Center at 212.761.1111 should they have questions or require any assistance.
