Hi Andrew -

We brought this up at our working group meeting yesterday and we'll be
sending some folks up to Meetup HQ (Unfortunately I can't make it
personally as I'm going to be out of town this weekend). We'll also
be contributing some of our ideas to the wiki, and may even have some
code up on

One other thing I was wonder if you or other people at Meetup might be
able to help with - I've been to a bunch of tech meetups around
Manhattan, so I know there's a sort of network of spaces (coworking
spaces, offices, educational spaces) that donate their time for tech
meetups. Would you have any leads on people we could contact who
might be willing to donate use of a conference room (around Downtown
Manhattan) for OWS groups to hold working / training sessions?

Hi Tom-

If you have specific priorities, feel free to drop them in the wiki I've setup:

Hi Andrew -
Thanks for setting this up with Meetup.  Today the Open Source
Solutions group will be setting up dev servers and a github account
for OWS, and we'll begin to push our code to github - you can fork
projects from there.  Most of the apps that we're developing
internally are infrastructure / resource management apps - getting
people + supplies together to support the occupation.  I'll see that
this gets announced at a General Assembly meeting as well.

Hey everyone,

Together with Occupy, Meetup is hosting a hackathon at
our space in NoHo (632 Broadway, 3rd floor between Houston and
Bleecker) from 12pm - 9pm.

We're hoping to attract lots of people who are eager to get involved
get started, either by starting their own projects related to OWS,
working on one of the many tasks that the working groups need done or
helping to grow the directory and hub at

I've started a wiki on GitHub related to the hackathon at:

Feel free to add your ideas for projects and tasks that need to be done.

Please let us know if you'd like to join us here:

Happy Hacking,
