I'm part of the outreach team for OWS and have been organizing an
occupation in Plattsburgh, NY. We're holding an event tomorrow and our
our Congressman, Bill Owens, has offered a statement on his behalf to be
read to the crowd or at our first General Assembly. This is, of course,
only because he has a scheduling conflict. There are some of us who are
worried about his potential political gain from this.
I'm wondering if you all have engaged this issue before and whether the
NYCGA has a position on this? If I need to be redirected to another
working group, then please let me know.
Any help you can offer would be good.
