Judy, I don't know if you know Susan B on this list, but she is on the Translation Work Group and they are very interested in getting translated materials onto the website. I think if the volunteers get any/all current material translated and posted to this list that will be the best way to start until we can get some more formal chain of communication going on here for submissions for the website.
There hasn't been any discussion of internationalization technologies or initiatives for the site yet, so lets keep pushing for a dialogue about it.
What considerations can be made or methods used on WordPress to allow for the inclusion of translated materials? Can menus/plugins be internationalized? will translated material be a seperate section? We certainly don't want to marginalize non-english speakers by not given an fairly weighted language presence on the site. Since the site seems to be a blog, the translators may have to be prepared to wait for updates and then translate and upload those posts if some submission process is created and made available.

I think that we should find a way to incorporate the google translate - while it has its defects - it might open up new avenues for us - for people whose first language is not English - and for those of us who are multilingaul = we could also expand.
