more importantly, i'd think it's useful to have any area which is

areas could actually be a drawback. it's always worked pretty well that
way on drupal.org itself - d.o issue queues for real, actionable
code-related items, and g.d.o if it's still to ethereal to merit
entrance into an actual issue.
