I'm working on the code for the nycga site today but if I can take a
look at the code for permabank I can work on getting a self-contained
dev version of that set up too, which we can put on github.
Is it repository hosted now, or are the devs just FTP-ing code to one server?

Thanks Tom, I really need all the help I can get, because as I said, I'm not a tech PM- I'm operating mostly on the conceptual level with Permabank. I'm hoping now someone can jump in and start with the bettermeans and the git hub...

Getting the project up in bettermeans (and code up on github, if it's
ready for that) would also help new developers who want stuff to do to
jump on the project.

ALSO- One more thing, as I am not experienced in tech project management, I
was thinking that we also need a PROJECT MANAGER that can coordinate all the
parts, perhaps who is proficient in bettermeans...

It seems much of our available man/womanpower has been devoted to
developing the nycga site, and that's great! However, I have been on the
ground talking to a lot of people and there is a lot of demand from people
that we get the Permabank up, as they really want to be able to connect with
other people directly to obtain what they need, effectively incorporate new
volunteers, and get work done. Again, the skills we need are the following:
Visual Design: ADOBE SUITE, GIMP, ETC
Clerical: Existing contact data entry
Please contact me off-list so we can keep the traffic down and I can more
easily build a definite list.
