This list is for planning the technical side of how we can use the Internet. By posting "off topic" messages you are interfering with the ability of other people to do real work for the occupy movement. This is the place where, for example, we should discuss the technical side of how to use calendar tools and forum tools. Then, it is inside those tools or other Google Group lists where we should be discussing what we should or shouldn't do, where and when.
So, please have this discussion in another forum, where we can talk about whether you truly believe in the things you say, that I feel would hurt the occupy movement, or if you are in fact an outside agitator purposefully suggesting actions that would bring violence to a non-violent movement.
To all reading this: we need to exercise some critical thinking when something doesn't seem right. For example, Thomas Ryan, who is a member of a listserve being used to coordinate marches and protests
related to the Occupy Wall Street movement, and who has been forwarding
those emails to contacts at the FBI, the New York Police Department, and
the conservative activist Andrew Breitbart.

That would be #General #Strike!
2 days minimum!
We need to overturn the legislation prohibiting solidarity strike! (Fundamental right of unions and working people)
- On top of that: Corporations use eminent-domain to confiscate property all around the U.S. and the whole world . From Connecticut to New Orleans. From Hawaii to Toronto and Philippines. Also, OccupyWallStret is in very unique position. It doesn't represent mainly regional interests the way Madrid, London, Athens, Portland, Boston do.
OccupyWallStreet has deep, more than symbolic meaning to the peoples all around the world. The colonial oppression of Wall Street can be felt everywhere and we have responsibility to keep the square and voice their interests, - tangible improve their quality of life!
It is time to fight back.
It is time to appropriate the little piece of land from private ownership and declare it an AUTONOMOUS Region. One little park. Right in the heart of the Empire. If for nothing, think about all the repression and misery the elitist cause around the world in order to gain more profit. They don't stop in front of anything.
We have the duty to declare Liberty Plaza an AUTONOMOUS Region in the name of the indigenous people of the land from whom it was stolen. In the name of the all the buried slaves, Africans and African Americans under our feet. We have the duty to take the land in the name of all the children enslaved in the sweatshops. We have the moral duty to do it in the name of all the dead people and war destroyed countries for profits of natural resources and sales of weapons. We have the duty to do it just for the mare symbolic reason it would mean to all those oppressed.
Many countries around the world have autonomous regions where it is the people who are in charge of the land.
This country needs one as well - and really badly - in order to have true Freedom of speech, expression and assembly, and to symbolize the Real-Democracy!
Otherwise we are still occupying on the land and mercy of the 1%ers who own the little piece park.
Who's park is it?
WHO'S PARK IS IT ?!
Let's declare it AUTONOMOUS REGION and let the city and police know that they will be Trespassing on OWS property and against peoples will. We have popular uprising going on in this country (and around the world) and any of their action will be seen as a crack down on the peoples popular movement by the totalitarian-capitalistic regime.
Conditions has changed. It is time for people to be heard. We no longer need marching permits. We no longer ask for assembly permits which are after five days declined on ideological bases. We no longer ask and pay for sound permits.
WHO's PARK IS IT ?!
I as one of us, one of OWS am asking this issue to be raised tonight at the General Assembly by the facilitation, by the information wg, by the arts&culture, by the legal wg, media and by you and me. By all of us.
Please think about it and the implication of it on everyone in the future.
Please RT/discuss it with your group.

This is Mark Faulk from OccupyOKC.
I PROPOSE A NATIONAL DAY OF OCCUPATION, WHERE WE ENCOURAGE EVERYONE IN
THE COUNTRY TO TAKE OFF FROM WORK OR WHATEVER THEY'RE DOING AND JOIN
US FOR A SHOW OF UNIFIED STRENGTH. SEND A MESSAGE!
I also agree that we need long term goals, this is a movement, not
just an occupation. We should have an infrastructure put into place to
affect legislation through:
1. Qualified appointed committees who meet with congressional leaders
and state legislators, draft legislation, etc.
2. An army of occupiers who bombard targeted politicians, the media,
etc. to show our strength
3. A plan put into place for when the weather turns bad, so that we
continue with indoor town hall type events, etc.
4. National committees who help craft a platform with input from each
faction of the 99% (labor, students, elderly, disabled, veterans,
We at OccupyOKC would love to work with anyone and everyone to
implement these things.
Because Democracy is for Everyone
