Would putting out a 'Occupy'ers' survival guide would connote the wrong image, but:
We could list things that make Occupying a more sustainable event, tying it in with the permaculture workgroup.

Phone/computer battery saving practices
carry and offer spare phone chargers
Install JuiceDefender (or similar) battery saving apps for Android
Turn off BT/Wifi on devices when not in use
etc etc

Solar would be great.

We are starting to see solar power applied more broadly at Occuptions
(see LA's recent Tweet).  We had done some preliminary research on
options for systems here, we were wondering if anyone had resources on
best practices & utilization in occupations like LA to move this ahead
more quickly?  We have a significant presence in the high solar
producing areas so see some promise here.

We are also curious what practices are being used to provide
connectivity in the occupations.  We have been tinkering with
implementations here and may have some equipment to recommend / test /
lend on sites.  Feel we can improve resource utilization here across
GAs by sharing optimal setups and specs.
