I think the simplest solution for this is to get those working on design and development to communicate through a project (not code) oriented system like OpenAtrium. With its groups and projects layout they designers can all work on different aspects and communicate what files/pages they're working on. I don't know of a viable solution for locking down code to be checked in/out for a site with so much in motion. If we can discipline ourselves to track changes/efforts in one system, as we are in http://projects.occupytechnology.org/ then it will work. People who want to have access to the site to make changes will just need to maintain communication with the Group they're working with.

Redmine could be used for this as it is a stable tracking platform for multiple projects and there is a server up and running right now. We can certainly try it out at least so that changes being made now can be recorded and people will have a single point of reference for checking on status of open tasks. They may be much better tools for this, but we can start out with this to get a handle on actual usage and requirements should we decide to move to a different platform.

Who exactly wants to meet, to do what?

My core focus is on keeping the current site up and running. We are at a critical stage with simply maintaining the operation of the current server, while membership grew nearly 50% since yesterday.

Something we need to discuss asap is how different designers and developers avoid stepping on each others' toes and destroying the work of others.

Can you make the space available Sunday from 6-completion?

Drew, are you up for accepting this offer if so?
