Thats a great idea.
Perhaps multiple platform versions could be created to allow occupy sites anywhere to plug it into their site as a page or sidebar widget. People could see groups near them. "Find a local Occupy on Facebook" if you will.

Thanks for posting Matt...I'm a longtime progressive organizer and I've been working on this app with a handful of other geeky activists for the last few weeks. It's not meant to replace the direct organizing sites like the new NYCGA (which looks awesome)...but instead just designed to try and turn all the Facebook energy from passive engagement into real on-the-ground activity.
Say what you will about Facebook, but it has the potential to be an incredible way to get people in the door of the movement. Nearly a million people have expressed some solidarity with the Occupy protests.
We have a lot more ideas on building it out but could definitely use (1) feedback on it right now and (2) more development support if any folks want to dive into it with us.
