I believe BoinxTV can accept feed from Axis IP cameras. You might be
able to set up a couple of these and send back to BoinxTV to switch.
This might be worth testing with Teradek Cube in Wifi (not 3G/4G)
mode. The base station computer would have to be near by on the wifi
network. I believe the Cube can hook into a local network or can
create one adhoc. This way instead of screen grabbing a web page or
trying to switch sources in Livestream stream, you'd have much more
control. Having a wireless mic near the facilitators would also help.

I know there'd be some challenges in setting up the local network but
if you had one that was password protected so it doesn't get saturated
with "mass access" it might be viable.

It's ok Todd.  Sorry again for snapping back.  I know unless you got a full
tutorial on livestream it wouldn't be absolutely clear as to the process.

Also Vlad I think more than the boring angle we need to work on the audio
issue.  Ideally if we have 2 to 3 livestream angles it would help up the
production value (something that can be done with the current equipment).

We can put one camera with a mic on the facilitators at all time.  The
second angle can float through the audience to get an angle/mic on blockers,
concerners, and point of process people.  That would just take 2
livestreamers and someone in the livestream studio mixing the feeds.  When
the crowd is larger we can have 2 floaters to get voices from opposite sides
of the parks.  The key in this is the livestream studio person paying
attention and cueing up the different angles in a timely fashion.

I think to cover GA well we should sit down and think about best ways
tonshoot it.  one angle gets borng but if you alternate angles it might get
better.  Maybe we should install a cheap security system feeding into a
Broadcasting computer....

I second dwaynes last comment, also noting that even the viewers get bored

If I can open up discussion for 1 more moment.

I would like to say that I don't decide what anyone gets to view.  The
person controlling the livestream studio decides what the audience views.  I
wasn't the only livestreamer at the park during the GA.  I was just the only
one that admitted on camera that I didn't want to cover it.

Furthermore I don't know what Thorin's personal decisions have to do with
my issue with the way the GA is currently executed.

Who the hell are you to tell me how to do the livestream? I've been
GA's for weeks. Have you ever covered one on the livestream? I
didn't think
so. I don't like doing them so I won't. Just because you like it
mean I do.

And for your dumb ass information I couldn't bring the computer over
so I
stopped streaming. Listened in on the GA and reported back
everything that
was discussed. I do whatever the streamers ask.

We should have our General Assembly covered. Dwayne, if you don't
want to do
it, don't. Who cares what you personally want to cover? I certainly
The General Assembly is among the most important aspects of this
and it absolutely should be broadcast to the thousands of viewers
who link
up with us every night during our GA. If you don't want to cover it,
get the fuck off camera and give it to someone else. Alternatively,
you can
do what you volunteered to do - the job of anchor representation of
LiveStream events at OWS. How do you imagine that you personally can
what we off-site participants get to view? The General Assembly has
elected you Supreme Editor of Worthy LiveStream Subject Matter. And,
as per
Thorin's relinquishment of autonomy from GA accountability on
October 21,
your actions are now subject to the decisions of the General
Assembly; so...
get with the program.
I acknowledge that my impertinent and angry remarks about this
subject are
not conducive to friendly or productive dialogue.

the battery to cover it.

frankly it probably would not have broadcast well as drumming was
drowning it out and the sound probably would have not worked well

Hey Jill,

Very sorry about the GA coverage this evening.  We're working
to build
new homebase so we should have much better coverage starting

Thanks for your patience,

If the person running the camera doesn't believe in the G.A.
can't someone else  cover it?
This is not fair to the listening audience.
