Replacing the site homepage is a priority task for the dev team.
We're also working on putting a process in place this week to assess
the needs of all the working groups and turning those needs into
action items for the site developers.

I agree that the activity feed on the home page does not seem to fulfill an
"persona" need. It communicates that there is activity on the site (as a
general fact), but collected content comes across as a random jumble, and is
not pragmatically useful to any type of site user in my opinion.
It would be good to decide what the main strategic purposes of the site are
and align the home page content to the primary purpose. Apologies if that
exists, I have not seen it. Andrew's vote is to lead with facilitation
guide and process. I threw out an option for orienting new supporters. In
the previous site, the site lead with bulletins and minutes which I also
found useful because it highlighted the latest info.
Facilitation guide and process on front page and swap out that dumb
activity feed with a project feed organized by topic so ppl can work
together. The site is mocking all our meetings that are about talking and
not about connecting and action. I am truly sorry for asking technical team
to look into the direct democracy issues when there is the facilitation
group for that. Pls internet get represented in each mtg and call for time
in mtg to connect and establish needs.
