Thanks Cari (and for joining Occupy Cinema, excited to have more great

And I agree, Dwayne. Sorry if I came off harsh. I haven't had much
sleep and are therefore prone to crankiness, bleh.

I think checking each other is very necessary but can be communicated
in a constructive way (myself included) So apologies again, let's work
together and hard. Tensions will naturally arise, but there are no
hard feelings on my end.

I'm pretty passionate about films, so hopefully we can watch some good
ones together soon (again anyone can program/curate films or show
their own work, you don't even have to live in new york. or the US! we
can just show you how to set-up the screen, etc, but it's for
everyone--we're working on a website that people can submit films to
and schedule their screenings through a calendar function.) Anyways,
good night ha

I know you said no offense. But how you said it was offensive and a
bit ignorant frankly. I have been working tirelessly to create a
process where anyone can screen films at the park and even elsewhere.
Maybe from this singular message thread it would appear that I only
care about m Moore, but that's certainly not true. We have been
working with a number of individuals to get programming and show their
films. Sunday we are showing shorts from third world newsreel, workers
photo guild and many others (please check it out, it will be great)

Truth is the cinema group and OWS as a whole always needs support and
if m Moore can and does support it, his efforts are appreciated like
anyone else. And seriously, what is wrong with the fact that ALOT of
people would enjoy an event like this? Criticism that comes from a
seemingly self-righteous place towards people who are working hard is
a waste of energy that could be focused elsewhere. I know there's a
major probability that I have this communication all wrong, it's a
fools game to debate over the internet most of the time, but it's
late. And I do feel strongly about this.

Hi guys,

I'm from Occupy Cinema, the collective that put on last night's
screening. We absolutely can and should work together on this. We have
also been working on an audio solution (we found a good conference
call site that works so the audio would be accessible through anyone's
phones that call a number and dial a pin)

I talked to the kitchen about making popcorn as well. I think it could
be fun.

We've got the set-up process down for the screening. Here's a picture
from last night in case anyone missed it:

Also, we have our own google groups if anyone is interested in

Hi folks,

Interesting to see some overlapping efforts happening here, seems like
we need to start working together.

There is a little radio team that has been working this very mechanism
the last couple weeks. We've got a couple PART-15 transmitters, and
done a number of tests in the square, partially transmitting the GA on
Saturday, working out the various technical kinks along the way. We've
had a several in person meetings and we've got a plan we've been
on to make this happen. Just last night we worked up a proposal to
to the media team to turn this into something more of an official

We've done a bunch of research into the FCC regulations, talked with
Prometheus people, and looked into translation radio (which sounds
what Dallas brough up on another thread regarding minutes?). It would
great to work with you and others on this project!

Expect our proposal to show up momentarily, this is where you can find

Regarding streaming, we setup an icecast relay of the radio stream
we've been experimenting with, and were able to relatively easily
transmit the radio stream that was broadcasting the GA on Saturday.
