Can everyone register here so we can coordinate to do's and
communication among the team who will support the wiki. Let me know
once you've signed up so I can add you to the team.

Todd - yes yes lets do it!

A half dozen people from OWS are interested - imagine how many there must be
in other occupations.

Here's the beginning of a roster:http://wiki.occupyeverywhere.org/index.php/Get_involved#Wiki_Roster

The wiki is currently sitting on my rackspace cloud.  Let's get it off there
and onto something we control.  Let's get people the right permissions, etc.

How should the wiki team communicate - redmine, list serve, carrier pigeon
..?

I agree!! a dedicated wiki task force would be great!! I think the entire
movement needs to be able to self map, providing standard templates that
each location can use for links to WGs, projects, needs/wants, etc. Why
reinvent the wheel? I'd be down to help with this, in whatever way possible.
I had to take a job recently, so I'm a bit sidelined for the next two weeks
but I can try to marshall content at night, reach out to other occupations,
whatever would be useful...

request - we employ a wiki that has an WYSIWYG editor, most folks aren't
going to want to learn the syntax. Let's keep the learning curve to a
minimum... I'm pretty sure Media Wiki has a good plugin for this...

You can track its trail here

If we are serious about online wiki's lets get a composite team of systems
and wiki adminstrators, review media-wiki and others, and decide and deploy
something that we back up and manage in the data center facilities provided
to the occupy teams.
