Greetings!

You're invited to participate in a Hands-on Video Making Workshop with Betty Yu of the Center for Media Justice and Carlos Pareja of People's Production House on Monday, November 7 from 6:30-8:30 PM at the BRIC Community Media Center (Brooklyn, NY).

This is the second in a series of workshops, events, and collaborations being organized as part of Building Collaborative Capacity (BCC), an initiative of the
Arts & Democracy Project.

About this workshop:

This workshop will provide participants with the basic tools and skills to create short videos and upload them to youtube.  Participants will be asked to interview each other - asking and answering questions about community change efforts that they are involved in. There are limited slots so sign up quickly; first come first served for this great workshop!

This workshop is free of charge.
Space is limited.
Register by Friday November 4
Building Collaborative Capacity (BCC) is a series of workshops, gatherings, and collaborations that bring together artists, organizers, and educators to learn from each other. BCC aims to strengthen the connective tissue that, while often invisible, is a vital part of sustained and creative community change. BCC is supported in part by City Councilmember
Brad Lander and the Nathan Cummings Foundation.

Upcoming Workshops in 2012:
We are identifying a limited group of core participants in the BCC-NY initiative who will commit to participating in three or more programs in the series and will be part of documenting and reflecting on the process. In exchange these participants will be guaranteed to get into all of the programs and receive an honoraria. If you are interested, please email javiera@artsanddemocracy.org

Thanks to Media Action Grassroots Network, for helping organize this workshop and BRIC Arts|Media|Bklyn for use of the BRIC Community Media Center

Sincerely,

Caron Atlas, Director
Javiera Benavente, Cultural Organizer
