In my opinion, as I have been working hard with a lot of people on Permabank, which is an exchange system based on gifting because we extensively assessed the resourcing needs in cooperation with many working groups, that there iss no need at this point for a quantitative system (e.g. Timebank).

my understanding of time banking is that one earns 1 time dollar for 1 hour of work regardless of the type of work.

tgl seems to let people set their rates, so wouldn't be an alternative currency and not time banking.

i think time banking would be interesting to try at ows.

Maybe the wheel (or, some spokes, at least) has been created already?

I am exploring OWS using a local timebank to facilitate job flow at

I wonder if working groups could offer jobs - provide a little
training, shadowing, learning and doing opportunities.

If anyone is interested I will keep posting here, since I can't
through to post on open source. If it seems at all feasible I will
propose to explore it further.
