Evy, OWSWatch sounds great.  Maybe we could leverage OWS's popularity to get poeple to leak stuff, support whistle blowers, etc.  I suggest you structure the project so we can direct people interested in leaks, wistleblowing, etc to you and you can help them be productive.  I'm not aware of any 'official' pictures.  I wish we had a good media resource page for you but unfortunately our media working group doesn't seem to be doing things like that.  Once we've got occupy.net going I'll make sure we have such things up.

Clayton, we want to launch in the next 48 hours too.  Yesterday I was introduced to another person who's put up a managing news distro in support of the occupation.  Let's combine forces.  I've got a team in New York ready to authenticate feeds are from 'real' occupations and create an OMPL library.  There are also people here who want to curate feeds and create a nice looking news-portal with the content for the OWS location.  Want to connect tomorrow to discuss?

Ed, the spokes council will have a registration form that basically categorizes groups as operational (logistics, etc), movement (affinity, theory, policy, etc) and caucuses (groups that discuss inequality, etc).  That should be released tonight.

Mike, here's a list that could use a lot more entries: http://wiki.occupyeverywhere.org/index.php/Domain_names
Folks - if you have occupation related domains you'd like to make available to the movement, please add them!

Thanks!

I think you should go to legal or think tank, which I'd like to work with but never get anything...  A name can be very valuable as you all have seen with that copyright fight.  I bought them because my website is Whistlewatch.org  Org's are traditionally non profits, .coms are for profit.  OWSWATCH would make a nice app.  I'm sure you all can figure out how to have a button that looks like an owl.  Who-You!  ;)

One thing I might also point out...this morning I received notice the general assembly was following my website.  Oddly, I heard from someone in the mid-west who said they were reading OWS was losing momentum because it had no goals and was creating public problems.  Now-I realize this person is reading traditional media but---where they are is not a dead zone.

So---I'll be writing another article about OWS.  Is there an official picture I can use?  (hate to be a pest about some things but I have a vision disability so hold the snarky remarks, please)

Could this all be put on the wiki somewhere? Like a list of domains people have/are willing to donate and contact info (email address) for them.

Hey All,
Maybe someone can get this to the right person.  I'm offering one more time to donate owswatch.org and owswatch.com.  Is there anyone who reads my posts?  Helllllloooooo???  And don't come back and tell me to go elsewhere.  Some of the groups aren't doing anything...
Best,
Evy

Hi folks.  I was informed a few hours ago that our very own Dan was the owner of occupy.net.  I think that's a much better name than occupyeverywhere, org for our technology group to organize around.

I propose we consolidate our projects under the occupy.net URL.  Good example is the following:

*news.occupy.net = sdboyerdev.devcloud.acquia-sites.com
*wiki.occupy.net = wiki.occupyeverywhere.org
*crm.occupy.net = owsoutreach.civicactions.net
*mail.occupy.net = http://webmail.occupyeverything.info/
*register.occupy.net = https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?hl=en_US&formkey=dHVnLUlJRFF6OE9laDFVbWRMZ3hWQXc6MA#gid=0 I need someone to implement this in our civi.  Please connect with me if you're interested.
*lists.occupy.net = consolidation of our lists.
*freenet.occupy.net = network status information from freedom tower, etc
*forum.occupy.net = forum.occupyeverywhere.org

Let's discuss and, if there's consensus, sprint this out after the spokes council this evening.

Proposed copy for the front page of occupy.net is here: http://wiki.occupyeverywhere.org/index.php/Occupy.net
