That would be nice Chaz but I'm in California.  There are a few people who want to make this happen so they are going to contact me directly to make it happen.

Oh one more thing.  We guarantee confidentiality with anyone who contacts whistlewatch.org  Anyone who reports, whether anonymously or otherwise will never be outed, nor will their disclosure be revealed unless the person wants us to do something about it or publish the information.

Wish I was there or you were here since the sun is shining.  ;)

Evy,
The best way to inform people would be to get on the ground and talk to people and start a workgroup/forum. That way the message could move beyond this google group and reach a much larger audience.

You all are absolutely right that people do not know where to make secure public interest disclosures.  There are numerous hotlines on websites of corporations and government agencies but let me be frank, the disclosures are frequently given right over to the retaliating management.  There are also faux type companies out there that solicit whistleblowing and promise rewards.  I've investigated some and they are nothing more then companies getting paid by corporations to seek out whistleblowers who are clueless as to who they are talked to.

I can get my colleagues to help with anything thrown our way.  What I need is help to figure out how to put whatever on my website.  My designer is a law student studying for exams.  I'm no geek and have little time to figure out WordPress.  My days and nights are filled with helping people find everything from health care for their blood pressure meds to locating a lawyer to take their case.  I'll be happy to have someone figure out what else I need to give you all.

If I receive any donations, I will share them with OWS.  What is that wepay thingy?  Thanks!

Our generic answer to those type of issues is "do it async!"

The quick hack, could just set to "record all" from a given context or extension, name with a convention, and ship off to transcriber workflow, directly to the whistelblower system, etc, then purge all data from that calling event.

We were setting up a config for "record your GA & grab the WAV" anyway, and had just started on thinking through "submit anonymous report" as a modified use case of that.  Going to spend much of the next 9 days on PPBX, why don't we consider prioritizing this one as well…

If folks prefer, we could take this discussion off thread among interested parties.

Great idea. Also, with your PBX project, maybe one of the PBX options can be something simple that does text-to-speech on the original audio and then dumps your CDR and ANI entirely? Just a thought, not sure how actually feasible text-to-speech is... though dumping CDR and ANI is like you said trivial. As is having a call come in, take a PIN for DISA access, dial back out to Evy's system or wherever we want with our ANI and no name/address... thus cheaply and easily preserving anonymity.

To pull it back to something very relevant to IWG activities,  would it make sense to present a secure form @ GA site(s) to route to Evy's or other friendly systems to encourage whistleblowers unaware of the availability of a secure reporting mechanism?  Surely a trivial syndication / link mechanism could present an acceptable UE.

It's obvious from the existence of this thread that people aren't aware of safe venues to speak out, and are coming to #Occupy digital venues for answers, so our first thought is that presenting such a form / link in the GA venue could be of value.   Especially if it's quick and easy and doesn't appear to involve going _immediately_ to a third party site they don't trust quite yet.

Just a thought. Not trying to make-work here given all the priorities, but it sounds like one of those opportunities the Corporatocrats like to call "low-hanging fruit" or "high bang for the buck" or what have you.

Right on Dallas!  My close colleagues are the Government Accountability Project (GAP) and others in Washington, D.C.  We can help the OWS and push for change together.  You find us a large group of scholars who know how to help fuel your fast moving train!  There are global people I work with who honestly don't know how to get through to OWS.  If you don't like that I'm using this forum, just be quiet until we can move this conversation to another forum.  In the meantime, just on the letter writing campaigns to stop SOPA & IP NOW.

Oh just a reminder on the subject.... we really oughta be doing something to Free Brad, no? That pertains to a website/feed/other IT related projects that could be involved as well as whistleblowing.

If you are a whistleblower, please don't make public interest disclosures on an open board or you'll find yourself out of a job very quickly.  Not everyone here is altruistic!

Philippe Brugere-Trelat and Mitchell Draizin
they have taken millions from us the taxpayer, they has a multi million dollar weekend home in the Hampton´s (Sag Harbour)
72 Fourteen Hills Ct Sag HarborNY and a new condo on the Upper East Side. Hi firm invests mostly in French banks that have been bailed out over three times with US tax payers funds not to mention his lavish lifestyle, while we scrape to feed our children. See attached links. The event will take place next month in November. Might I suggest showing up after it starts as I know my boy is too scared to go in iof there was any protests. Invitees are Jaime Diamond (plus wife) Jim O´Neil, Lloyd Craig Blankfein and wife. We got zero at Christmas and my boss got a seven figure bonus. All this info can be confirmed on the internet. Why does Bloomberg TV cover him, I wish Fox news would be there if you decide to go to Daniel. I cannot affored to lose my job but I cry every night.
