Dear Sept 17, We must be extremely critical about any PR, the

mainstream media is insidious in their ways of misrepresentation. It

is very cynical and carefully constructed attacks that attempt to

weaken us. Even appearing like an advertisement connotates that this

occupation is just a fad, or another article may be support a

completely differing political agenda, there are always underlying

messages. We do NOT put our identity in the hands of outside media

groups. Obviously, we can't control what different news agencies

write. (for example, this article is claiming we are against obama

because he doesn't have a birth certificate, its so stupid and wrong,

they claim to be anonymous..lol.

http://www.panamalaw.org/special_report_occupy_wall_street.html) -Most

of the media works for the 1% even if it sounds "supportive" you have

to read between the lines. Even the Nation, a pretentious left

organization wrote an extremely cynical article about us. We need a

healthy suspicion of media conglomerates, esp those that work for Saks

Fifth, it is extremely naive to think they will represent us properly.

We have our own media. We are in the process of representing ourselves

through democratic process and we are figuring out how best to do it,

grassroots discussions. Big props to the internet group and media

group--they are our wings with which we will fly and give voice--hard

working people and extremely skilled--let's support our own folks our

own PR. Its very exciting!
