According to media reports, two thousand people were at the rally today and "hundreds" are sleeping over. The encampment was organized by a coalition of antiwar groups and has a dual focus on ending the wars and redirecting war spending towards social services. They are in touch with the smaller Occupy DC encampment but are not merging them. The antiwar encampment is only scheduled to last until Sunday, but hopefully it will either continue past that date or merge with Occupy DC after Sunday.
