Taking our money out is OK as an occasional p.r. stunt. But we need to take over the banks, to nationalize them under democratic control, to take back our money and use it for services we need (education, childcare, healthcare, etc.).
Which means occupying them.
We're a long way from that, but we should come up with some protest actions to dramatize that that's where we're headed.

Just for the record  New Bottom Line is anchored by National People’s Action, National Pico network, and Alliance for Just and Sustainable Economy and other key state groups like ACCE in CA,  NYCC in NY, or MORE in St. Louis not SEIU….

They are organizing for a Nov 5th move your money out of banks….

Occupy Austin has already move over $160,000 out of BOA and Chase in the past 10 days…….

Peace,

Lisa

It's not a group. It's a talk show host. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

I'd rather folks talk about campaigns that ARE driven by groups, like the SEIU's New Bottom Line campaign.

I think Dylan Ratigan is definitely on the right side of history--he talks daily, and in detail on his show, about how global corporations are looting us--and would love to work with him.

Dylan Ratigan is the guy who's behind this. He's a huge friend of the movement, and wants to collaborate with us however we see fit.

Would folks want to put together an event with him/them? I could help get the ball rolling / make intros.

Here is a group that is not trying to co-opt us but is running a info-campaign that seems aligned with our movement.  Take a look and see if any of you would like to support it as individuals.
