actually, Susan will be out of the country for 2 weeks and we probably should not be giving out her personal email address in a list like that when the group has its own email account.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org
and we will let you know how to jump into translating documents to portuguese as well as any other languages and connect you to translators in your language for editing and support.

Do it! The translators group covers several dozen languages, if you'd like to climb on board just email email@example.com who's managing the big translating group. If you're interested in subtitling, let me know and I can send you specific information regarding that.

#occupysubtitles is officially underway!
Thanks to the ease of www.universalsubtitles.org
we can subtitle linking directly from youtube or vimeo, so Spanish translators are going to be learning the software in the next few days and subtitling content they find important and want to share with the Spanish speaking world. The links will be shared through nycga.net
and twitter, using the hashtag #occupysubtitles.
As I mentioned before, if there are any videos you guys find particularly important, feel free to send them my way and I'll share them with the translators. We have the "consensus" video on cue right now, I did the 30 second spot as a first test, and I'm sure we'll most likely take on that 10/15 video as soon as it's up.
to good news! onward!
