There's an interesting parallel discussion going on on the 'Safer Spaces' WG listserv where they're trying to plan for months hence and reaching some unexpected (positive) conclusions by thinking beyond the current constraints.

As one of the lawyers in the Media Group and also as a NYer- I would be SHOCKED beyond belief if they did not attack this tent here- worse- they might well tear it up to get to the 'illegal protesters' inside :(

we need a large tent for media center for all kinds of journalists to come and exchange resources etc. the current media center tent is just too small. its good for storing equipment to dispatch camera crews etc, but def not a communal working environement.

I've proposed using a car port tent before and was told that the cops would pull it down; that was still when they were destroying tents, which seems to have stopped.

Not sure who to ask about this but thought someone here might know. My friend is offering to give us this enormous tent that they were using for a movie they were shooting to be used in Liberty Park or perhaps another occupation.
It's 24'x36'. Too much??? If anyone here knows, let me know.
