it, it was the Fire Department,not the Police Department, that made
the sweep. They did that supposedly to get rid of fire hazards.
In my experience, if it were a crime, the NYPD would have used it to
clear the park weeks ago. They are experts at finding ways to enforce
obscure laws in the service of shutting down protests. Think "parading
without a permit" as a pretense for arresting people at Critical
Mass, and ticketing the rest for not having lights and bells.
I am not a lawyer, and this in not legal advice, but it is my
opinion that streaming this would be legal and awesome.
