We are working on alternate means of electric, possibly setting up a 12v battery system for the park may work.

CRAP- sooooo here's the report- Spoke to chief inspector Joe Polcha in Operations at 9 Metro Tech in Brooklyn who told me the following-
The generators were taken as they were breaking the law that no generator can be used within 20ft of a tent or tarp

TO GET THEM BACK: charge of $65 per generator- they would want the receipt for each along with permission of whomever goes to pick them up (eg. if me, I've been sent as a representative of OWS with right to pick them up...) - this needs to be brought to 9 metro tech, 3rd Floor. ADDITIONALLY- they are likely now in storage on Randall's Island. He initially told me that there was no chance I could get them before Monday but if all went right- it might be possible.

More than likely- we are looking at high charges, them claiming again we're using them within 20ft and more than likely no pick up before Monday. Amongst other things, this is probably an important affront from the city which we should publicize....

Would be excellent to get spin instructors down to the square to teach classes and have one bike that faces the others . . .

We should just build a multi bike unit and let the tourists take turns giving us power.

Here is the number for demonstrations held within the confines of a park

I think these bottom two were already posted.  I know because I've been through this while working in tv production that we aren't getting any permits without insurance coverage.  (and here begins the run around).

They were within their legal rights.  We can't have a generator without getting a permit for one in this city.  I know that for a fact.  We never got a permit.  I saw on the livestream that they did ask someone for their i.d.  I just couldn't tell who the person was that gave their i.d.
