Subject:   Re: [GlobalRevolutionMedia] #WINTER Why can't we just BUY provisions???

thanks andrew- i do tend to agree with bruce, but i think logistically a lot of the problems being raised here have concrete answers/vantage points again the information is not being withheld from anyone in the way that its being portrayed. if the question was why can't we buy 200 of those shirts then you're right perhaps i drove the issue home too hard but i think thats not really the question here. please take the time to read both threads, you'll see i did not escalate. thanks

Probably because we can.

There are people, and businesses, and organizations, who can donate items (provisions, etc.) for little or no cost to themselves.   So why spend cash if don't have to.   That cash might be needed much more later, for things that cannot be donated.   We have to be the most excellent stewards of that money as possible.   Spend it all now, and we won't have it when we really need it.

Regardless, I also recommend that you join the Finance Working Group, and Comfort, or any other appropriate working groups.

Complaining in email is like writing a letter, then not mailing it.

If you really care, get involved.  Attend the working groups.

Ok.. so, this is  really getting very ridiculous, i think that people need to get much more serious about the whole thing.

Can somebody just answer me one question: why do we still need to be ASKING for winter provisions, while having collected about 300,000 dollars by now????
Why can't we just organize a team to go and buy all the sock, blankets, thermoses... etc. ??

just, why?
