Okay, so here are a few thoughts i have on promoting #occupywallstreet on Twitter:
1) Even though logistical information for the event is on the webpage, don't assume that people are going to surf that indepth. We have very small attention spans. Tweet out information culled from USDayof Rage and Occupy Wall Street, also look to affinity orgs that are promoting and retweet their links and postings in solidarity.
2) Mix in a few articles to primary sources on the web for people to review, and hopefully will make them angrier and more willing to join the cause.
3) Tweet abt nonviolence (of course) maybe suggestions for peaceful actions... I am tweeting abt possibly throwing a slumber party since I will sleep on the sidewalk in protest.
I am thinking abt reviewing foursquare/gowalla/Facebook Places and seeing if we can make it open so that anyone in the world can checkin to the occupation. If we have a larger mix of people from outside of NYC then it will not serve as a way to find activists (i hope) any thoughts on this?
