The Union Square area is like a big shopping mall, and most of the

people I've seen passing through the area in recent years, especially

on weekends, looked relatively well off to me. The park itself is

always so congested with people trying to push or peddle one thing or

another, that almost all activities just get buried there, and it is

such an everyday occurrence for some small group to be there shouting

one thing or another, that unless you've got real numbers, you're more

likely not to be noticed.
