This is AMAZING!! Yes I would love to be able to utilize something like this! I think Bluestockings Bookstore has some other radical children's literature that we might be able to get them to donate maybe.... http://bluestockings.com/
Thanks! I am gonna start tweeting #liloccupiers to promote it....

I have a story book called Tales for Little Rebels: A Collection of Radical Children's Literature, with stories ranging from Dr. Seuss to Bolshevik sponsored "Fairy Tales for Worker's Children". Let me know if you would like this!
This is really great!

I would like to coordinate another Family Day like I did at Bloombergville, the parents and kids loved it, and wanted to do more similar actions. It was a great real world experience for families that wanted to teach their kids about social and economic justice. I'm not sure if I can make it happen this week end but maybe the weekend after? Interested?

In an effort to make the General Assembly more accessible, some of us have been talking about coordinating a childcare center. I don't expect that to fully materialize for another few days, but in the meantime, I want to reach out to folks again to see if there's is any interest in contributing to this endeavor.
Or, if you're a parent, let me know if this would be of use to you. You can trust me; I'm a graduate student for elementary education and am a third grade teacher. The other person who has expressed interest, Kristin, also has a background in education and is currently a substitute teacher.
While we're waiting for more folks to join in, I'm going to try to obtain and bring all sort of relevant supplies to Liberty Plaza--picture books, watercolors, boardgames, etc. Any other suggestions?
Anyone doing outreach, please mention that such a project is in the works. I think it will encourage a lot more parents to come and get involved!
