Just for folks information, this is Marina from the legal team, and we
(legal) have been talking to Chris Dunn from the NYCLU for almost a
week now - and daily. As we have been announcing in the GAs they are a
part of the discussion with the National Lawyers Guild and other legal
groups and firms to see if there is any legal action we can take with
regard to the space (ie injunctions etc).

He does have a pretty good communication line with the police and if
the group changed it's position on negotiations I am sure they would
help facilitate that. But for now, they are not acting in any way that
is negotiator like. They are just in communication with police as well
as with us.

We can do more legal trainings, inviting lawyers that are clear on all
these laws, if that is what people would like. We did a few before the
occupation and one during, but are happy to help facilitate more.

Just as a note. What the laws are and what are "rights" are - are
often not the same as what happens. But I totally agree that folks
should be informed.

In Solidarity,
Marina
