Subject:   [september17discuss] Postal Workers Rally Today

SAVE THE POSTAL SERVICE      SUPPORT POSTAL WORKER UNIONS

Postal workers will rally today, Tuesday, at every Congressional District in the US against the closing of thousands of post offices and the laying off of hundreds of thousands of workers. Occupy Wall Street has been asked by the union to join them and present a statement in solidarity. Members of New Yorkers Against Budget Cuts will also attend. The rally nearest to OWS will be from 4 PM-6PM at Varick and Houston streets, Cong. Jerry Nadler’s office. We will gather in Liberty Plaza (at the red structure) after the 1PM GA (around 3:15) and go together to the rally.

Those outside Manhattan can go to other rallies:

Bronx – Rep. Serrano’s office, 1231 Lafayette at Tiffany Place

Coop City, Rep. Crowley’s office,  177 Dreiser Loop

Brooklyn – Rep. Towns' office, 10408 Flatlands, between 104th & 105th streets

Harlem – Rep. Rangel’s office, 125th St. and 7th Ave.
