Congress is ostensibly not real democracy, it was specifically
designed by landlords like Madison and Hamilton to ensure it was not
democratic because of the fear of the unwashed masses and has been
accomplishing this job for the past 224 years. It's no different from
most parliamentary systems.
They themselves said it was not democracy. 224 years ago, corporations
were not an influence on politics unless it was the great colonial
companies of France, Britain and the Dutch Republic.
Additionally we're still falling in the trap of electoralism when we
could make a demand to the people. Assemblies, everywhere.
The thing is the vast majority of the people who obsess over the one
demand have placed themselves as enemies of the movement to begin with.
